Service

Websites & E-commerce

Websites, online stores and custom plugins, including white-label development for agencies. Built around how your business works, fast on a phone, and yours to keep.

What This Service Covers

You get a website or an online store built around how your business actually works, and a team you can still reach a year after launch. Elevio Solutions is a software development company in Belgrade, Serbia, and building websites, stores and the plugins behind them is the largest part of what we do. You get a fixed written price before anything is built, pages that open straight away on a phone, and a contact form that does not fill your inbox with spam. None of that is an extra line on the invoice.

This page covers the whole of it: corporate and marketing sites, editorial platforms, product launch sites, online stores with real selling mechanics, and custom functionality when the thing you need does not exist yet. If what you are really building is a platform rather than a site, that is custom software and SaaS. If two systems need to stay in step behind it, that is automation and integrations.

Who This Is For

  • You are growing faster than the site can keep up: new products, new markets, new landing pages, and every one of them turns into a two-week conversation.
  • Your site got slow and nobody can tell you why: pages that crawl on a phone, search results sliding, and a maintenance bill that keeps arriving anyway.
  • You sell online and the store fights you: a checkout you cannot change, products that do not fit the usual shape, stock that someone retypes by hand.
  • You need something that does not exist yet: a feature no plugin sells, or three plugins glued together to fake one.
  • You want to own what you paid for: code that is yours to keep, and yours to hand to another team if you ever need to.
  • You are an agency and need the build done behind your own brand: white-label plugin and site development, delivered as your work, with us invisible to your client.

What You Actually Get

A Site Built Around Your Content

Your theme is written for your content and your design, so the pages you need are the pages the site can build. Visitors download only what your pages actually use, which is what keeps them quick on a mid-range phone. Your team keeps the standard WordPress editor, so writing and publishing works the way it always has. Nothing about the way you publish a post changes.

Architecture Before Pixels

Before anything is designed, we map how your content is going to work: the kinds of things you publish, how they relate to each other, and the screens your team will use every week. Get that right and your site survives a redesign instead of being rebuilt. It is also where your search visibility is decided, because URLs, headings, and internal links are architecture, not decoration.

Selling Mechanics That Match How You Sell

Your store runs on WooCommerce, and the buying flow is designed with the same care as the marketing pages. Product data, categories, and the path from a product page to a paid order are shaped around how you actually sell. Some products cannot be sold with a dropdown and a price: configurable products, measured goods, date-based availability, and bundle logic all need custom development, and we build that logic around your catalog rather than the other way round. Payment gateways, shipping rules and ERP or CRM connections are wired and tested end to end before a customer sees them.

Custom Functionality When Nothing Fits

Ready-made plugins are the right choice more often than a studio selling custom development likes to admit. When one fits, use it, and we will tell you so. When nothing quite fits and you end up gluing three plugins together to fake one feature, that is when a custom plugin pays for itself: one codebase instead of three, built and tested against the exact plugins already on your site, loading only the code your feature actually needs, and owned by you outright. We ship our own plugins commercially, so we build yours the way we build ours.

We also build plugins for other companies to sell or ship as their own, including white-label work for agencies delivered behind their brand. That is the same job with different paperwork: a plugin somebody else’s name goes on has to survive support tickets we will never see, which is the standard our own products are held to anyway.

Fast and Safe on the Day You Launch

Your site opens straight away, on a phone, on a bad connection. Google measures that and slow sites slide, so speed is checked before go-live rather than discovered afterwards. In e-commerce it is not cosmetic either, because a checkout that stalls is a checkout that gets abandoned. Your images and fonts are served from your own domain, which keeps pages quick and means your visitors are not handed to a third party on the way in. Every form is protected against the automated abuse that fills an inbox with spam. If your current site is struggling, our breakdown of why WordPress sites get slow covers most of what we find in an audit.

Selling in More Than One Language

If you sell in three languages, you are not buying a plugin from us and hoping for the best. Our translation and multi-language service runs on our own platform, so the site and the language layer come from the same people, and there is one place to go when something needs to change.

What It Looks Like Six Months After Launch

Any site looks fine on launch day. What separates them is what it costs you to change something once real traffic and real orders are going through it.

What you need to do What that takes on your site
Add a new service, product line or landing page Your content types already allow for it, so your team adds it in the editor
Add a product that does not fit the usual shape The catalog was built around what you sell, so it is a change rather than a workaround
Change something in the checkout The buying flow was designed for how you sell, and it is tested end to end before it goes near a customer
Find out why a page feels slow A short list of things runs on that page, so the answer is findable in an afternoon
Report a problem It reaches the developer who wrote that code, not a support queue
Hand it to another team You own every line, and it comes documented for whoever picks it up next
Grow past what you launched with The architecture was designed for more than launch day, so growth is a build, not a rebuild

If you are still weighing platforms, we compared the options honestly in WordPress vs page builders vs headless CMS, including the cases where we would tell you not to commission a custom build.

Case Study: A Product Launch, Built End to End

BabyFM makes a smart wearable baby thermometer. We designed and built their product site, ready for the day they announced it, with one team on the whole thing from the first call to go-live. For a different shape of project, NN Rent a Car pairs a custom design with an online booking flow and search work done inside the same codebase, and Sofija Zovic is a portfolio build on the same foundations. There is more on the portfolio page.

The Same People Build Our Own Software

Help Forge, our customer support suite, and Polyglot Translate Cloud, our translation platform, are products we build and maintain ourselves, and both are running in production today. The Polyglot Translate Connector is published on WordPress.org for the new Connectors API. That matters to your project for one reason: keeping a product running teaches you this platform at the depth where the documentation stops, and it is the same people on your build. AI speeds up the routine work and a developer reviews everything that ships: AI in the engine, humans at the wheel. The full reasoning is in why we build our own products.

What a Build Includes

  • The complete theme, written for your site and owned by you outright
  • Content architecture your team can actually use: the post types, taxonomies, and editing screens you work in every week
  • Pages that open straight away on a phone, checked before launch against Google’s own speed audit, with compressed images and fonts served from your domain
  • Search engines and AI assistants describe your business correctly instead of guessing: meta descriptions, Open Graph, JSON-LD structured data, clean URLs, XML sitemap
  • Usable by people on a screen reader or a keyboard, built to WCAG AA: semantic markup, contrast-safe colors, reduced-motion support
  • Forms that do not fill your inbox with spam: nonce verification, honeypot, rate limiting, sanitized input
  • Where the project sells: a WooCommerce store whose buying flow is built around how you actually sell, with payment, shipping and tax configured and tested
  • Where nothing off the shelf fits: a custom plugin, written for your site and tested against the plugins already on it
  • Documentation and a walkthrough of your own site at handover, so nobody on your team has to guess

Process and Pricing

  1. Discovery call. Your business, your customers, and what the site has to do for you. If we are not the right team for it, you hear that on this call.
  2. Fixed scope. A written proposal with a fixed price and a date, before a line of code exists. The number you approve is the number you pay.
  3. Build. Every week you get something you can open and click, so you watch your site come together instead of waiting for a reveal.
  4. Launch. Speed, security, and the search plumbing are all checked before go-live. You launch on a day you chose.
  5. Support. You keep a direct line to the developer who built it, on a plan or on call.

Custom websites start at EUR 2,500; larger platform builds start at EUR 5,000. Maintenance partnerships start at EUR 350 per month. What moves that number is scope, and our website cost guide breaks it down line by line so you know roughly where you land before you talk to us. Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a website or online store cost?

Custom websites start at EUR 2,500. Sites with platform-grade requirements, such as complex content models, memberships, or heavy WooCommerce logic, start at EUR 5,000. A custom plugin on top of an existing site is usually the smaller end of that range, because the scope is one feature rather than a whole build. You get a fixed written proposal before any code, so the price you accept is the price you pay. Our cost guide explains what drives the number.

How long does it take to build?

It depends on scope, and your written proposal carries the timeline next to the price. A single custom plugin is measured in weeks; a full site or store is longer. You see progress weekly as something you can click rather than waiting for a single reveal, so you are never guessing where your build stands.

Can I edit the site myself, or do I need a developer for every change?

You edit it yourself. Your team works in the standard WordPress editor, the same one used on tens of millions of sites, and the content types are set up for the things you actually publish. Most clients find editing simpler after the rebuild, not harder. A developer is for new functionality, not for changing a headline.

Do you work white-label for agencies?

Yes. We build plugins and sites that ship under your brand, with us invisible to your client: your name on the work, your relationship, your invoice. In practice that means we work to your specification and your deadlines, hand over code documented for a developer who has never spoken to us, and stay reachable when your client asks you something six months later. Tell us on the call how much of the client contact you want to keep and we will shape the engagement around it.

Who owns the code?

You do, outright, including the theme and any custom plugin we write for you. No license fees, no seat limits, and no dependency on us. If you ever want to move to another team, the code goes with you and it comes documented for whoever picks it up next.

Do you rebuild existing sites and stores, or only start from scratch?

Both. A rebuild usually starts with an audit of what you have now: what is slow, what is fragile, and what content carries over. Where the foundation is sound we fix rather than rebuild, and you will hear which one you actually need before you commit to either. We also migrate stores from Shopify and other platforms, moving products, customers, orders and URLs, with redirects in place so the search visibility you have already earned comes with you.

Which payment gateways can you integrate for Serbia and the EU?

Serbian bank gateways, Stripe, PayPal, and the card processors your bank works with, plus cash on delivery where that is how your market buys. If you sell across borders, we set up tax and shipping rules per market rather than leaving one configuration to cover everything. Tell us who you bank with and we will tell you on the call what is realistic.

Do you maintain the site after launch, and will it break when WordPress updates?

Yes, on a plan or on call, and you keep a direct line to the developer who built it rather than a ticket queue. On updates: we build against documented interfaces rather than internals that change, and test against the plugins actually on your site, which is why breakage at update time is the exception rather than the rule. When something does need adjusting, it reaches the person who wrote the code.

Will the site rank in search?

Your site launches with everything a search engine needs to read it properly: a clear page structure, fast load times, and the description of your business that search engines and AI assistants will quote back. Rankings beyond that depend on content and competition, which is the territory of our SEO and AI search service. We will not promise you positions, and you should be skeptical of anyone who does.
