BabyFM is a health-tech startup that makes a smart wearable baby thermometer: continuous temperature tracking with real-time alerts. Elevio Solutions designed and built BabyFM’s product-launch website as a custom WordPress theme. The engagement has since grown into a product partnership, and BabyFM’s customer support desk now runs on our Help Forge plugin.
The Challenge
A launch site for a baby health product has to convince two very different readers at once. Parents arrive tired and worried, and they want reassurance in plain language before they will read a single specification. Healthcare institutions and investors arrive skeptical, and they want proof. Most health-tech sites pick one audience and lose the other: either a sterile spec sheet that pushes parents away, or a soft brand page that a hospital procurement lead will not take seriously. BabyFM needed one page that does both jobs in a single scroll.
The Solution
We built the page parent-first. The opening leads with the product’s actual promise: the wearable keeps measuring around the clock and raises real-time alerts, so nobody has to hover over a crib with a thermometer.
Below the emotional opening, the page turns to the skeptical reader. The goal was one scroll that answers a parent’s worry first and a professional’s doubts second, then points both audiences at the same next step.
What Shipped
- A conversion-focused launch page built around the product’s core promise: continuous temperature tracking with real-time alerts.
- A custom WordPress theme designed and built around this launch, so the layout follows the argument the page has to make.
- Messaging that reassures parents in plain language before asking anything of them, and gives skeptical readers a reason to keep scrolling.
How It Was Built
The site is a custom WordPress theme: PHP templates, SCSS compiled to a single stylesheet, and vanilla JavaScript. That is how we build every WordPress project, which is what keeps it loading instantly on a worried parent’s phone. We compared the options honestly in WordPress, page builders and headless setups. The layout is designed for the way this audience actually browses: one-handed, on a phone at 3 a.m.
From Launch Site to Product Partnership
The launch site was phase one. When BabyFM needed a real system for customer support, we deployed Help Forge, our own WordPress helpdesk plugin. It is live in production and handling their real tickets every day. Building tools like this is what our custom WordPress plugin work looks like when a client needs something shaped around how they actually work.
That next phase has shipped: an AI support chatbot built on a deterministic safety layer. In a medical context, a chatbot that improvises is a liability, so the language model is restricted to extractive rephrasing of approved content, engineered so the AI is never allowed to guess. AI in the engine, humans at the wheel. It answers real questions today, and it hands over to a human the moment it cannot answer one.
One conversion-focused launch site became a support platform and a live AI product. That is the shape of engagement we aim for: it starts with a fixed written proposal and grows only when the shipped work earns it. See the rest of our work, or tell us what you are building.
